I’ve always loved art since I was a child,  and at school it was easy for me to achieve top grades in painting and music. For many years, I painted mostly for myself, my family and friends.

In 2020, during a time when the world felt overshadowed by historic events and everything seemed to turn grey, I returned to painting after a long time. It was a period filled with uncertainty and fear – but also with reflection. That moment made me realize how brief and fragile life can be. It forced the world to slow down and led me to make a new start. That’s when ROSENGOLD N°1 was made: a golden bouquet of sculptural roses, created to mark my personal new beginning – in a new city, in a cold and empty apartment, where my atelier began to bloom.

It took me about a month to develop the sculpting mass and complete the first painting, until I felt in my heart: it is finished. At that very moment, the name came to me clearly – along with the realization that this wouldn’t be the only piece. Today, ROSENGOLD N°1 is the centerpiece of many artworks – a series of rose paintings, each with a consecutive number. Every new artwork is a continuation of the first, marked by an engraved title and a certificate of authenticity. Each painting is created from a special moment or emotion along my journey.

The rose is loved for its beauty – it reflects the kind of beauty we seek in life. And yet it is feared for its thorns. In much the same way, a new beginning holds both promise and challenge: it can be beautiful and full of light, but it also takes courage to walk an unknown and sometimes rocky path.
